The title of this book is “Where do we Live”, and my objective in writing it has been to answer many of the questions which have occurred to me while driving up and down Burnt Store Road. The trip does, after all, provide some quality time for contemplation while speeding past the long lines of invasive Brazilian Pepper trees bordering the road (the ones with the pretty red berries). The earlier chapter which discussed the developers of Burnt Store Marina answered many questions about how that community had evolved, but what of the other developments along Burnt Store Road? Two chapters focus on the other nearby subdivisions in Charlotte and Lee Counties, existing and proposed.
