The Punta Gorda History Center, Inc., is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization created for the purpose of preserving Punta Gorda/Charlotte Harbor history collections. The first collection donated to PGHC was that of the late Vernon Peeples. Readers of Where Do We Live? will appreciate how indebted I am to the contributions Mr. Peeples made to the documentation of the history of the area, and to this book, prior to his passing.
